So I’m feeling better. I’m back to taking my medication, and I’m trying some new ways to handle stress and anxiety. It also helps that I finished my next-to-last semester at North Carolina State last Monday. Only six more credit hours needed for my Bachelor of Arts! And still no idea what I want out of life beyond a nice time and a sense of accomplishment. Ah well, one day at a time, oui?
Shifting gears (or not, given the context), Ford repossessed my car two weeks ago. After about three years of having it, I simply can’t afford the payments any longer, and my parents are up to their necks in their own financial difficulties, so I’m just going to let it go. I don’t make enough money to get it back anyway. Mom and Dad were supposed to drive to Raleigh on Tuesday to pick up the rest of my things so I could move home for the summer, but they came a day early. As soon as I got their message they were almost there, so I was literally grabbing stuff off my shelf and cramming it into boxes. The plan was for me to ride my motorbike home the next morning, which was fine…until I realized I had packed up my clothes, too. HA HA! No garments…
Sooo…yeah, having no clean clothes made for an interesting use of the washing machine and dryer on Tuesday morning. I spent most of the morning cramming everything I owned into three bags and strapping them to my Honda. By the time I finished, it looked like a giant suitcase with two wheels…I had that much stuff on it. Got checked out of my room and got all the way into Washington…then it started raining. And it rained. All. The. Way. Home. All of my rain gear was stowed, and by the time I got home my iPod, clothes, boots, shirt, gloves - even my underwear was wet (too much information, I know). Some of my stuff is still drying!
Other than that, I’ve done little since I got home. Been sleeping late and trying to arrange my stuff in a storage bin outside of town. Mom and I made a pizza for dinner (Dad had my most hated food...crabs XO), then I went for a nice ride around some old back roads towards Washington County. I meant to take some photos of the cloud formations, but I realized I had forgotten my attachment that holds my filters, so that was pretty much a dry run.
I start back to work at a temporary job on the 14th. Not really looking forward to it – it pays much less than what I made in Raleigh, even though I’m doing the same thing. I’ve got to have some form of income though. Still have bills to pay!
Anyways, this rant is over!
