I love Christ. But it confuses me as to why those who proclaim to follow Him cling to the unclear and often hypocritical set of circumstances and fuzzy logic that surrounds His gospel. Yes, the Scripture talks about homosexuality, divorce and getting into Heaven. It's a little mute on the issues of spousal abuse, though. Does that mean Christ wants us to tolerate it? Ask a battered spouse. So if you're going to preach an entire sermon to lament failing marriage rates, the evil of divorce, and what God commands us to do in relationships, make sure there's not an abused wife in the congregation, whose only chance to move on with life IS divorc
